Cat Sitters Extraordinaire!
These are the most frequently answered questions we have so far. If your question is not on the list send me an email (email@example.com) or give me a call.
What area's do you service?
I will travel anywhere in Castle Rock proper (The Meadows, Founders Village, Plum Creek and more). I will also go to Castle Pines, Parker, Elizabeth, Franktown and Larkspur for an additional fee
What services do you offer?
There are a packages available with services such as feeding your cat, providing water, cleaning a litter box, playing with your cat and more in the standard package. See the Packages and Rates page for package information.
Why should I use your services instead of using a family member or friend?
I am a pet sitting professional that will not just feed your cat or dog. I will also play with the animals and give them some love and attention. Your pet is my priority. I am insured and bonded for you protection. I will make your house look lived in. Your pet won't be exposed to illnesses from other animals. Your animals are much happier when they have their normal schedule, normal bed and the extra attention of a pet sitter. Leaving your dog at home also provides an extra layer of security while you are gone.
How many times a day do you visit?
The typical client likes to have me visit 2-3 times a day for their cats. I will visit as many times a day as you like and on the standard package these would be 1/2 hour visits. We also offer 1 hour visits with a dedicated time to play with your cat
How am I billed and when is the money due?
At our initial meeting, when the paperwork is signed I will collect a 50% prepayment. You are welcome to prepay the whole amount, but I will be happy to take the remaining 50% when I return your house key. This will happen within 7 days of your return unless previous arrangements have been made.
May I offer a gratuity to the pet sitter?
Yes, the pet sitter is allowed to accept tips from customers.
What other animals do you care for?
In addition to cats I will feed dogs, birds, fish, small mammals and reptiles upon request.
Why do you specialize in cats?
Because I love cats. Love to play with them, cuddle with them, pet them and massage them. I love dogs as well and have two of my own, but can't walk dogs because of a bad knee.
Do you charge more for multiple animals?
What do you do in an pet emergency?
During normal business hours I would take your cat to your own vet. During off hours I would take your pet to the VCA Animal Hospital located in Downtown Castle Rock and open 24 hours a day. In 25 years of having pet sitters at our house for two dogs and three cats we have never had an emergency that required veterinary care.
Do I have to fill out a service agreement each time you pet sit for me?
After the first time then you can simply call, arrange a short visit for key pickup and be off on your vacation, no secondary agreement will be needed.
Do you offer overnight stays?
Yes we do. Our overnights are from 10:00pm to 7:00am.
Can you pet sit my cat or dog when we are not on vacation?
Yes we can do daily visits if that is what you desire. For a five day week we offer a business person special that will provide you with 30 minutes of kitty love (or doggy love) and attention. This is a special rate because there will be no feeding or litter box cleanings at these appointments.
Do you ever offer discounts?
Yes we do, please see the Packages and Rates page or our Specials page.
Is it safe to have a stranger in our home?
Yes it is safe you the pet sitter you hire is insured and bonding.
Are you licensed, insured or bonded?
Yes to all three. Castle Rock Cat Care is licensed with the Town of Castle Rock and the State of Colorado. I am also insured and bonded by the Pet Sitters Asssociation, LLC for your security and mine.
Do you require a specific amount of visits per day?
Yes we do. For cats we require a minimum of 1 visit per day (we do NOT skip days). For dogs we require 2 visits for indoor/outdoor dogs, 3 visits for indoor only dogs, crated dogs(includes a late night bedtime visit) and for puppies a minimum of 3 visits per day, but I suggest more when potty training.
Do you have dog walking restrictions?
Yes I do because of a recent knee surgery. Dogs must be leash trained before I will walk them.
